2019 SBF CSA Week #7

It should be from left to right, but since I’m getting frustrated trying to edit the image it will be from top to bottom. 🙂 Varieties from top to bottom are: chocolate sprinkles, black cherry, ruby crush, sun sugar, black vernissage, and garden peach. The green stripes and/or green shoulders on some of these varieties do not indicate ripeness, but is a physical characteristic of the variety. The chocolate sprinkle is my favorite!

THIS WEEK’S COOLER INCLUDES:

  • cherry and grape tomatoes
  • rutabagas
  • cabbage
  • jalapenos
  • slicing tomatoes
  • onions
  • hardneck garlic
  • yellow summer squash
  • newton basil
  • onion chives
  • blue vates kale
Homemade pizza is always a winner and this recipe uses 3 of your cooler items. Feel free to cheat and use bought crust though. 🙂

Maybe not as healthy as roasted rutabagas, but just as delicious! Try this rutabaga cake if you like carrot cake.
