Greetings Everyone. We have some items this week, that bring thoughts of fall. One of them, is our favorite squash which is called Delicata. Delicata is an heirloom variety squash. This is a thin-skinned squash. Although it is allowed to mature before it is eaten like winter squash varieties, it is actually in the same family as summer squash such as zucchini and patty pan squash. This squash does not need to be peeled before it is eaten. We had some roasted Delicata for lunch today (recipe highlighted below), and it was delicious. We also have a Jill favorite, concord grapes. The fall cole crop plants are steadily getting put in the garden, and some of the spent summer crops are being removed to make room for lettuce and radishes again. We hope to stay on the normal schedule tomorrow, but don’t be concerned if the deliveries are late. Those PGA fans may make it tough to get around in some areas.
Have a great week!
