Winter Squash


IN SEASON:  September, October
STORAGE:  Store whole and unwashed in a cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight such as a basement or garage.  Just be sure they do not freeze.  Delicata, butternut, and acorn will last up to 3 months in these conditions with the spaghetti last up to 6 months.  Refrigerate after cutting.  Freeze for long-term preservation.
COOKING TIPS:  Be careful when cutting as they can be tough to cut.
