2017 SBF CSA Week #9


Hi Shared Bounty Friends!

Most of the items in the garden continue to love the summer heat!  However, we are very thankful to have a deep well that allows us to irrigate the crops as needed.  Along with the heat and water the crops would like some extra TLC, so we will be taking our first week off from deliveries and pickups next week (Sunday 7/23 and Thursday 7/27).  Deliveries and pickups will resume (Sunday 7/30 and Thursday 8/3).  This allows us to redirect our energy and efforts for the week to projects and crop needs that quickly fall low on the priority list during weeks that we pick and pack coolers.  It also allows all of you to use up any leftover produce from the last couple of coolers or really miss your Shared Bounty goodies should you be one who has no leftovers.  As always, thanks for supporting local agriculture and stay cool in this heat!

  • eggplant
  • slicing tomatoes
  • blackberries
  • beets
  • green snap beans
  • cucumbers
  • bell peppers
  • summer squash
