2017 SBF CSA Week #17


Hello SBF Members!  September is coming to a close and October marks the last month of the season.  We hope everyone is enjoying being a part of a CSA and we cannot thank you enough for sharing this season with us!  Without each of you, our CSA program could not survive.  With the hot weather sticking around, you will once again find a mixture of summer and fall crops in this week’s cooler.  Also, the herb in this week’s cooler is lemon basil — lemon basil makes a great simple syrup to use in lemonade, cocktails, or tea. Enjoy!

For a different spin on okra, try this recipe for okra parmigiana.

Take advantage of the warmer weather by firing up the grill.  This bok choy and apple slaw will be the perfect side.
