2017 SBF CSA Week #1


Welcome to our 2017 CSA season!  We’ve been planning and anticipating our first week of the season for quite some time and it’s finally here.  The extremely warm, early spring and the 10+ inches of rain caused us to make some adjustments to our crop planning, but we’re managing to get back on track and feel this week’s cooler contains some springtime favorites, including asparagus. We hope each of you enjoy this week’s produce and please contact us should you have any questions. Thank you for supporting local agriculture!

*strawberries

*bok choy

*napa cabbage

*dwarf white sugar snow peas

*garlic scapes

*siberian kale

*tarragon or sage

*asparagus

We love to make this Quiche Lorraine Recipe with our farm fresh eggs and fresh asparagus.

Snow peas are the perfect vehicle to get this delicious White Bean and Garlic Scape Dip to your mouth.

Toss in some ginger and garlic or garlic scape to enjoy this simple, but yummy Stir Fried Bok Choy with Ginger and Garlic.

Drink your kale through a straw, after whipping up a Kale Apple Smoothie.
